The california fire foundation provides scholarships to children of fallen firefighters. Today, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and the California Fire Foundation (CFF) announced grant opportunities for California-based fire departments and community-based organizations focused on wildfire safety and preparedness. A portion of the initial order and renewal fee for all plates directly benefits the California Fire Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, which built and maintains the California Firefighters Memorial and supports the families of fallen firefighters. The cff assists victims and families devastated by fire and other major disasters by working closely with local firefighters in their communities. The cff holds an annual public memorial ceremony to honor and remember the ultimate sacrifice of fallen fire fighters. This public education campaign teaches members of the public throughout california to prevent and prepare for fires through topics and strategies presented through person-to-person workshops, print and electronic media. The California Fire Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, provides emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters.
